Nestled in the heart of Tolima, amid the verdant landscapes of
Planadas, lies the cradle of NXUSXA COFFEE (Pronounced
NOO-sha), a brand steeped in history, resilience, and the rich
traditions of the Páez indigenous community.
Born from the pioneering spirit of our ancestors in 1902, who
traversed dense forests to plant the first coffee seeds in
“Vereda la Bella,” NXUSXA COFFEE embodies a journey of
discovery, struggle, and peace.
Our roots run deep in the fertile soils by the Ata River, where
the Paya family first envisioned a future brewed from the finest
typical coffee variety. Over the decades, despite challenges
and armed conflicts, our community’s resolve only
strengthened, culminating in a peace treaty that rekindled our
passion for coffee cultivation.
Today, the Asociación de Caficultores Indígenas San
Pedro, Resguardo Páez de Gaitania, Tolima (ASCI´SP)
continues this legacy, ensuring a fair and just price for our
producers and delivering a coffee experience unlike any
other.
Join us on a journey of flavor, heritage, and hope.
